Transformation of outdoor space begins
Cheques from Aylesbury Town Council and the Big Lottery Fund are presented to fund the clearance work
Work has started to transform a part of Somerville Way, where a concreted area will be replaced with grass.
The project by Prebendal Farm Residents Association is thanks to a £7,235 grant from the Big Lottery Fund and a £2,000 Aylesbury Town Council grant.
The association said the improved site will ‘provide a safe outdoor space for residents and remove a section of land linked to incidents of antisocial behaviour in the area’.
It will eventually also feature flowers and a bench.
