Three arrested over ‘unexplained death’ of man, 38

THREE men have been arrested following the ‘unexplained death’ of a 38 year old man in Aylesbury last night.

The man was found dead in Argyle Avenue by the ambulance service at around 8.30pm on Sunday after a member of the public saw him collapse.

He was pronounced dead at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.

Three men, aged 52, 56 and 32 are all currently in custody.

Police have rubbished rumours that the man died as a result of a stabbing.

Det Insp Chris Inness, from Aylesbury CID, said: “At this stage we do not know why the man died.

“I am aware of some speculation locally that he had been stabbed but there is no evidence at this time that that is the case.”

And Supt George Wrigley, the Aylesbury Local Police Area Commander, said: “The man who has died and the three men who have been arrested all appear to know each other and we are not looking for anyone else as part of this investigation.

“Naturally, there is likely to be some speculation and rumours circulating in the local community but I would stress that there is absolutely nothing for them to be concerned about.”

Anyone with information has been urged to contact police by calling 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
