Teen holds 12 year old at knife-point for BlackBerry in Aylesbury

A BOY aged 12 was robbed at knife-point in Aylesbury on Saturday evening.

The youth was walking along Prebendal Avenue with his friend, when a man grabbed his shoulder and pointed a knife at his chest.

The man then demanded the boy hand over his property.

The boy’s friend, a 16-year-old girl, ran away from the scene.

The boy showed the robber his BlackBerry Curve mobile phone, which the offender then grabbed from the boy’s hand before running off.

The boy was not injured in the incident and ran to find his friend before calling police.

The thief is described Asian, of a height of around 5ft 4ins, about 16-years-old, with dark hair.

He was wearing white Asian-style linen trousers, a dark hooded top with the hood up, a white linen top underneath the hooded top, and dark sandals.

PC Russ McFarlane, investigating, said: “Although the victim was not injured in the incident he has been left very upset and shaken by what happened to him.

“He no longer feels safe to go out in his own area.

“This happened in a busy part of town so it is likely that people would have been in the area and either witnessed the incident or the offender running away.

“I urge anyone with any information that could help us progress our investigation to contact me as a matter of urgency.”

Anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the description of the offender should contact PC Russ McFarlane at Thames Valley Police via the non-emergency number, 101.

Alternatively, if you do not wish to speak to police or leave your name, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
