Slideshow: Youngsters at Haddenham County First School

A PROFESSIONAL gymnast showed children at Haddenham County First School how to perform bendy feats.

Steven Lee, from the British Gymnastic Squad, encouraged the pupils to take part in the Get Fit Kids project which aims to increase their awareness of the importance of fitness and how to have fun.

He demonstrated a one-handed handstand and springing into a forward roll over four children and a teacher.

Based around the national curriculum the focus was to encourage physical actions, flexibility, strength and endurance through demonstration and participation.

Parents, friends and relatives sponsored the children for the number of exercises they did in half hour sessions. It is hoped that the money will be collected by the end of next week.

Organiser, Natalie Goodyear said: "They loved watching him."
