Slideshow: McCormicks Haddenham enjoy family fun day

The company behind the spice label Schwartz held its annual fundraising day at its Haddenham offices on Friday.

McCormick is one of the largest employers in Aylesbury Vale and although they hold fundraising events throughout the year, last Friday saw a grand total of around 3,000 raised for various charities.

Some of the day's events included laser clay pigeon shooting and musical performances from staff. A large barbeque was also well received in the lunchtime break. One of the day's highlights however, drew McCormick employers out of their offices to watch some of the international company's top executives take on a hula-hoop challenge in full fancy dress costume.

The engineering and facilities manager, Ray Devine, decided to dress as a lady for the day, and took on the name 'Raychelle'. Ray's efforts were all paid off though as he personally raised 1,200 for the good causes.

The Thames Valley air Ambulance and the Maternity Trust each received 2,000 of the year's proceeds, however the other charities who will benefit from last Friday's fundraising have yet to be decided.

Vivienne Bagley, the event organiser, said: "We probably had about 300 people on site. The day went better than previous years; we raised more money on the day itself which added to the money that has been raised throughout the year.
