Seven fire crews dispatched to deal with smoking thatched pub loft
Smoke in the loft space of a thatched pub has sparked a full-scale fire alert.
Emergency services were called to The Swan in Grendon Underwood at 12.06pm on Sunday (March 3) after the smoke began bellowing.
One fire crew from Buckingham, two from Aylesbury, one from Princes Risborough, one from Great Holm and two from Bicester were dispatched to the scene, along with an urban search and rescue vehicle and a command and control unit from Aylesbury.
Firefighters used one hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus, a turntable ladder, small gear and a thermal imaging camera to deal with the incident.
The loft space was 30% damaged by smoke but no other damage was done.
