Problems with homes on Buckingham Park aired on Watchdog
Two homeowners in Buckingham Park have appeared on TV show Watchdog complaining about the building standard of their homes constructed by developer Taylor Wimpey.
Adam Bateman has reported 70 problems to Taylor Wimpey since November 2010 ranging from unfinished guttering, to power sockets which do not switch off.
Scott Reynolds’ £249.995 three-bedroom house has had 40 repair visits – including for a new kitchen ceiling because of a boiler leaking, shower tiles peeling off the wall and an insecure front step needing replacing.
A spokesman for the housing firm told the BBC TV show that it has apologised to the men, set dates for the remaining repair works to be carried out and offered goodwill gestures to both homeowners.
