Plans for nearly 2,500 new homes to east of Aylesbury still on track despite objections
Land at Bierton set to be developed
A late bid to de-rail plans for 2,450 new homes to the east of Aylesbury appears to have failed as councillors backed building proposals on Friday.
Councillor Julie Ward, member for Bierton, where the homes are set to be built, suggested the plans were ‘unreasonable, improper and unlawful’, claiming other sites around Aylesbury had not been fully considered.
She said: “What you have before you today is not satisfactory for this application to progress.
“There are questions that need fully evidenced answers and work that needs to be done.”
However, these concerns were dismissed and a majority of councillors on the strategic development committee supported the application.
