IVINGHOE SINGERS. The Ivinghoe Singers (St Mary's Church, Ivinghoe with Pitstone, choir) and Friends are giving a concert in Ivinghoe Town Hall at 7.30pm on Saturday March 13.

The programme for the evening features music, song and verse from across the five continents which can be enjoyed over a glass of wine and a bite. Tickets are priced 6, including wine and cheese. Money raised will contribute to the new heating system for the church. To find out more about the choir, or for concert tickets, contact Heather Pickering on 01296 660987.

LENT GROUPS. Joint Benefice Lent Groups will take place on Tuesdays throughout March: on March 2 at The Old Vicarage, Ivinghoe; March 9, 16 and 23 in Ivinghoe Manor; and March 30 in The Old Vicarage.

POLICE NUMBER. Thames Valley Police have a new single number for non-emergency calls. Running in parallel with their other non-emergency numbers, this should make it easier to contact the 24 hours a day, seven days a week Police Enquiry Centres. The number is 0845 8 505 505.

IVINGHOE ASTON EVENTS. Ivinghoe Aston Events Team has announced this year's calendar of events, which gets underway on Saturday February 28 with bingo and fish and chips in the village Swan pub, from where tickets are now available. Full details of the events will be distributed around the village nearer the dates, with headlines on the pub notice-board.
