Helpers sought who like a challenge

The Florence Nightingale Hospice has six spaces for fundraisers willing to try a marathon, but looking to avoid travelling into London.
The Aylesbury-based charity is looking to recruit runners for the Milton Keynes Marathon on the Bank Holiday of May 6.
The hospice describe the challenge as ‘greener, flatter and altogether more picturesque’ than the famous event in the capital.
Lee-Ann Kingham, 28, of Aylesbury, took part in the first MK Marathon last year in aid of the hospice, which helped care for her grandma.
She said:“My nan, Mrs Iris Bird, sadly passed away four years ago at the hospice, so was the inspiration behind me creating a ‘bucket list’ of things to do before it’s too late. That’s why I took on the MK Marathon challenge.
“The weather really helped spur me on, as it was raining, but I was so determined and focused. I knew I couldn’t let my nan or the hospice down.
“The atmosphere was really great and everyone was friendly and supportive.
“I remember the feeling I had as I was running along, that I was getting closer to the finish line. I felt quite emotional as I headed towards the 19th mile as my knee was painful but I kept going.
“I kept thinking about finishing and not giving up. I was so overwhelmed coming into the Milton Keynes stadium, thinking I’ve completed a full marathon.”
The six runners will get a running vest and hospice staff will be on hand to cheer them on during the big day.
