Gas what? Expect roadworks and more traffic delays
ROADWORKS are set to last for six weeks on Aylesbury’s Tring Road, according to officials who this week started replacing 240 metres of gas pipes.
Southern Gas Networks says the work, which is ‘to secure a safe and reliable gas supply’, could cause disruption because they will need to introduce ‘some lane restrictions’.
Laura Varney, spokesman for Southern Gas Networks, said: “We have been working hard to minimise disruption.
“We would ask that the public has patience while we carry out this vital project. We have been working with the local council on the planning of the work and have kept residents informed throughout.”
Work started on Monday.
