Fire alert after performance at Aylesbury theatre
Firefighters were called to the Aylesbury Waterside Theatre after a fire broke out in a dressing room.
The ground-floor incident at the theatre is thought to have been caused by a scarf on a light bulb.
The fire started following a performance of ‘An Evening of Burlesque’ on Saturday but the audience were unaffected.
The small fire was put out before emergency services were called at 9.41pm and two Aylesbury fire crews rushed to the scene.
The call was made as a matter of precaution and to ensure the theatre was safe.
