Fears grow for missing man as police appeal
A FRESH appeal has been launched as police try to trace a vulnerable missing man in Aylesbury.
David Walters, 37, went missing in July last year, but detectives say there have been a number of sightings of him in the town.
Mr Walters, who has mental health issues, went missing from a care home in Slough on July 29 last year, having previously been an inpatient at the Tindal Centre in Aylesbury.
The last confirmed sighting of him was on October 20 last year, when he was seen as the Weavers Pub in Cambridge Street, Aylesbury.
The missing man is described as white, 5ft 8ins with brown curly hair, a beard and green eyes.
He walks with a limp and has a slight stammer.
When he was last seen he was wearing a grey jacket, dark trousers and black trainers.
He also wears glasses and normally has headphones on.
Det Insp Russ Murden, said: “We are very concerned about David.
“He has mental health issues which require him to take regular medication and we have reason to believe that he has not been taking this since he went missing.
“This could lead to a deterioration of his condition and leave him vulnerable.
“There have been a number of unconfirmed sightings of David in the north Aylesbury area, particularly in the Watermead and Elmhurst areas of the town, and I would ask people in these areas to contact Thames Valley Police via the 101 number.”
Anyone with information has been urged to get in touch with officers, quoting the missing person reference MP/04303/2011.
