Developers amend controversial plans for 3,200 homes near Aylesbury after thousands of objections

A consultation on plans to build more than 3,000 homes on the outskirts of Aylesbury is set to be re-run as developers are amending the proposals.
Changes are being made to the Hampden Fields plans between Bedgrove and Weston Turville following concerns about the application.
Aylesbury Vale District Council raised issues with the plans in a letter in July, and more than 3,000 people have objected to them.
A council spokeswoman said no matter what changes are made in the revised application, the previous objections will still stand.
It is not clear exactly what changes will be made, or when these will be submitted.
The Hampden Fields Consortium, which comprises Aylesbury College, the Fairfield Partnership and Taylor Wimpey, said: “We have made some amendments to our proposals and are now compiling the revised information for consideration as part of the planning application.
“We expect to submit the further information to the district council in the coming weeks.”
A council spokeswoman said: “All the original responses will still stand, but if anyone has additional points they can write in again.”
Aston Clinton Councillor Phil Yerby, who has campaigned against the plans, said: “We wait to see exactly what the changes are, but minor tweaks will do nothing to correct the major flaws in this application, in particular the inappropriate and over-development around Aylesbury, and especially on Hampden Fields.”
