Cyclist taken to hospital with facial injuries after lorry collision

A cyclist has suffered serious facial injuries after riding into a stationary lorry in Weston Turville.

The 69-year-old man was riding his bike on the A41 Aston Clinton Road at around 1.10pm on Tuesday, when he collided with the lorry parked at the side of the road.

He was taken to John Radcliffe Hospital where he remains in a serious condition.

Thames Valley Police is appealing for any witnesses.

PC John Belson, of Amersham Roads Policing base, said: “At the time of the collision there would have been a reasonable flow of traffic travelling along the road and I would like to hear from anyone who either witnessed the collision or stopped to assist at the scene but left prior to arrival of emergency services.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Belson via 101.
