Cherie Blair set to unveil new facility at HMP Grendon
A new visitors’ centre will be opened at HMP Grendon by Cherie Blair.
The former Prime Minister’s wife lives nearby, with husband Tony, in Wotton Underwood,
A prison spokesman said: “For many years it has been a criticism of the establishment from inspections that we have no facility for families to wait prior to visits, and are often in the cold.
“We have now a facility and this has been supported by The Friends of Grendon Trust, who have helped to furnish the interior.
“This has been a huge achievement and a lot of hard work by people to make this possible.”

The visitors’ centre opening is on Friday, February 8.
