Cheers again to Haddenham Beer Festival
The Haddenham Winterfest never fails to disappoint
HADDENHAM Beer Festivals Trust raised £5,200 at its recent winter festival, it was announced this week.
Called Winterfest, the event on December 10 saw more than 800 people pass through the gates.
As always the Haddenham Mummers were one of the highlights as they put on their traditional play about Richard the Lionheart and the Turkish Knight.
The unusual history of the Mummers dates back to medieval times where the actors would paint their faces black to disguise themselves. The organisers paid tribute to the Haddenham Masonic Lodge for running the barbecue and all the helpers, sponsors and stall holders that made the day possible.
The ever-popular Summerfest is on July 7 at the Youth and Social Club.

The trust, which is a registered charity, donates all profits to local good causes.
The Christmas-themed day featured 21 stalls for people to browse.
