Cat survives after being attacked by crows while stuck atop 70ft tree

A young cat has been rescued after a traumatic ordeal in which it got itself stuck at the top of a 70ft tree where it was repeatedly attacked by angry crows, and you can see it here on BHTV.

The amazing footage shows seven-month-old black and white moggie, Holly, desperately clinging on at the top of a huge tree near Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury.

The cat was stuck in the tree, in the intense heat for nearly 24 hours, as her owners watched on helplessly.

As if being stuck 70ft up wasn't bad enough Holly was repeatedly attacked by some large crows who seemed to take offence to her precence in the treetop.

Weak and without food or water for more than a day, the cat seemed resigned to its fate as crows pecked viciously at her, screeched, flapped their wings and even pecked branches to try and knock her off.

With the RSPCA refusing to attend until the cat had been officially up the tree for at least 24 hours, nearby workmen offered a helping hand with the use of their cherry picker to get the cat down.

But the machine was not tall enough and, after another series of attacks from the increasingly vicious crows, Holly had to be rescued by firefighters, with the RSPCA eventually attending to give the cat a condition check.

The bizarre and amazing scenes were captured by our video news service, BHTV. Click 'Play' now to watch the video.
