BHTV backs local talent: Aylesbury student's film, Catatonic Oblivion - Part 4
BHTV continues to back local talent with a four-part video special showcasing the talents of a budding Vale film maker.
Chris Mullins, 20, who has been studying the art of film making at university, has made a number of films on various subjects as he builds towards what promises to be a bright career in the industry.
One of his films, a documentary on skateboarding and the stereotypes surrounding the sport titled Skateboarding: The Real Story has been featured on BHTV previously.
And now BHTV is showcasing another of Chris's excellent short films, Catatonic Oblivion. The 11 minute movie is available to watch in four parts and we want your feedback and what you think of the student's effort and the story itself.
Speaking to BHTV, Chris explained his film, Catatonic Oblivion. He said: "It was written to incorporate a new editing technique I had not tried before which is having moving video in conjunction with frozen video.
"The film is about a man who ignores a lot of things going on around him in his life, including his ex-girlfriend and his best friend getting together and also the state of the relationship between the people he lives with.
"When he goes to lunch one day with a friend who tries to explain what is going on and attempts to help him out, everything and everyone freezes. As he tries to find someone to explain what's going on, he finds the relationship at home has turned abusive and another truth is finally recognised."
You can also check out more of Chris Mullins' films on his own YouTube page.
BHTV is always looking to support and promote local talent in any field. Recently we showcased the work of Aylesbury rap artist, Reminiss (aka Malcolm Wright) as he prepared to launch his debut album Forbidden Chapters.
Young Aylesbury magician Joe Shellard appeared on BHTV before being tipped for stardom with his fantastic routine while BHTV has also featured local teenage urban dancer, Helayna Liviero, who made it to the finals of a national competition.
Aylesbury band Lightbox was another of the many local acts we have promoted over the last couple of years and we want to showcase many more.
