£24million for new homes to be split, cabinet rules
Cllr Neil Blake
Bonuses for new homes built in the Aylesbury Vale over the next six years will be split between the district council and parishes, cabinet members have decided.
The new homes bonus means around £24 million is expected to be brought into the Vale and there will be an 80/20 split of this money, with the majority going to Aylesbury Vale District Council.
It gives the council a bonus for every home built or brought back into use, with an extra £350 paid if the property is classified as ‘affordable housing’.
Councillor Neil Blake, cabinet member for resources, said the policy shows the council is committed to investing in and protecting communities.
