Women of all ages are invited to have a fun night out with their friends while raising money for Florence Nightingale Hospice, by taking part in the annual Midnight Walk.
The six or 13-mile challenge sets off from Aylesbury College at Midnight on Saturday, July 11.
This year there’s a new ‘glow’ theme to the event, now in its sixth year, as walkers are encouraged to ‘Glo With Flo’, by adding neon touches to their walking outfit to light up the night.
The challenge is an opportunity to walk in memory of a loved one, support friends and raise money for the specialist palliative care services provided by Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity (FNHC) to local families. FNHC’s Karen Shardlow said: “Our Midnight Walk is not a race but a united stroll.
“Over the past five years, the event has raised over £300,000, a fantastic amount of money which has been used to benefit local families who use Florence Nightingale Hospice services.
“We challenge all women in the area to get a group of friends together and do something different on your Saturday night!”
Entry costs £17 per person, to include a pink T-shirt, training plan, refreshments en route, a well-deserved breakfast on completion and a souvenir medal.
