Free training is on offer on how to use Aylesbury’s new public access defibrillator.

Thanks to an initiative by church member Brian Latham, Aylesbury now has its first publicly available defibrillator, which is installed on the side of Aylesbury Methodist Church in Buckingham Street.

The defibrillator has been active since June 15.

To access it, any member of the public can dial 999, ask for Ambulance and tell them where you are.

They will then give you the code to open the yellow box and take out the portable machine.

The local ambulance service is giving some familiarisation training from noon on Sunday, June 28, at the Methodist Church community centre.

The training is free and open to anyone, but please contact Brian Latham for more details on 01296 624964, if you wish to attend.
