This ugly patch-up job on an Aylesbury road really does seem to have gone to pot.
Resident Martin Hollands, who sent in the picture from Birch Court, says that recent pothole filling work looks unsightly, is unsafe, and that the road needs to be completely resurfaced.
“There are a few of the elderly people with their buggies who struggle, and I’ve also seen kids on pushbikes fall off because of the uneven surface,” he said.
“It’s going to get even worse in winter so something needs to be done.
“I don’t think it would take much to put it right, the ground is firm underneath and it’s not as if they would have to dig it all out.”
A spokesman for Transport for Buckinghamshire, said: “The recent repairs on Birch Court, Aylesbury, were completed on Friday August 7, following a report made to Transport for Buckinghamshire.
“The repairs that took place concentrated on the safety defects reported in the area.
“Due to the concrete construction of this road, the surface can appear unsightly whilst remaining in a safe condition.
“There are currently no plans to resurface this road.”
