Ice rink for Aylesbury!

THAT'S the call being made by today's correspondent.

I understand that the comment made in a council meeting was, as they say 'tongue in cheek', but i beleive that an ice rink in Aylesbury would be a good thing.

I know of several people who travel to Hemel Hempstead every Saturday to take their children to the ice rink there and then spend time (and

money) in the shops in Hemel High Street.

Surley this money would be better spent in Aylesbury town, keeping what

few shops we have left, open. If the 3,000 houses at Fleet Marston go

ahead (which they probably will) and all the other houses in the

whatever arc it will be are built, then this town will need something

like this to bring some much needed entertainment and money into it.

The council needs to consider the wider picture and bring some life into Aylesbury. So, i for one would like to get up a campaign to 'bring an ice rink to Aylesbury'. Let the people of Aylesbury use their voices for something other than whingeing. Surley there must be others out there that think this is a good idea?
