Hunting ban should remain

THAT's the view of today's correspondent.

With regards to these hunt meetings that take place on boxing day I can't understand the mentality of people who find it exciting and enjoyable going to go these hunts and watch morons on horses with packs of dogs chasing foxes and kill them in a barbaric way just for fun. How can people get a kick out of that? it is sick. Surely living in rural areas there must be other activities that be enjoyed without the involvement of animal suffering.

I am in complete agreement with this ban and I hope it remains in place for good. Hunting may be an old tradition that goes back to the 1800's but it in the past and it needs to stay there. We are now in 2009 and things need to change. I say to all those in favour of hunting GET A LIFE.

Long live the ban.
