An independent restaurant has enjoyed such success the business is moving to larger premises.

The Grill on Buckingham Street in Aylesbury opened three years ago as a peri chicken and steak house, and within weeks it is relocating to Kingsbury as The Grill Steak House and will drop the peri chicken from its menu.

The current premises seats 60 and is constantly booked every weekend, the new site at the old Bandidos Mexican restaurant will have a capacity for 90, and will also open at lunchtimes as well as evenings.

Owner Usman Majid, 31, who was born and raised in Aylesbury said: “When we first opened Nandos wasn’t here in the town. We’ve got to the point where our steak is better than most places so our new restaurant will be just a steak house.

“I am very excited about the move. Our uniqueness is that we use succulent Home Counties beef which we glaze with our own secret recipe. We do sirloin steaks, rib eye, rump, fillet, T-bone , forerib and chateaubriand.”

Mr Majid will hang onto the current premises and has exciting plans for it, but these are currently under wraps.

There will be new jobs on offer at both locations. Mr Majid said: “Young aspiring chefs and anyone with a passion for food should give me a call on 01296 336655 after 5pm.”
