Taylor Wimpey, which is currently building hhomes at The Chilterns, in Aston Clinton, sponsored three children’s races for £300, funded a £10 book token for each of the 14 child winners on the day and donated trophies for the event, at a cost of £200.

The Chilterns MS Centre has been providing care and advice to people with multiple sclerosis (MS) and their families and carers for 30 years.

Head of fundraising Hannah Asquith said the charity does not charge for treatments and services, but encourages people to make a donation when they can afford to do so.

And she added: “This is only possible with the support of local companies like Taylor Wimpey South Midlands who help us raise the £900,000 required in 2015 to continue treating 300 people with MS, and their carers, every week.”

Taylor Wimpey sales and marketing firector Gareth Jacob said: “As a local housebuilder, we are committed to supporting the communities in which we build, so we were more than happy to support the Chilterns MS Centre’s annual Prestwood 10K and children’s fun run.

“We’re delighted to hear that everyone had great fun at the event, which raised much-needed funds for this fantastic charity that does so much important work in the community.”
