House badly damaged by fire near Princes Risborough
MORE than 30 firefighters attended a blaze at a house in Bledlow Ridge this morning (Wednesday).
Firefighters were called to the fire in Chinnor Road at 5.51am.
All four crews from High Wycombe Fire Station attended, along with two crews from Princes Risborough, one from Beaconsfield and one from Aylesbury.
The single occupant was able to leave the house safely.
The fire has badly damaged the roof.
Are Manager Denis O'Driscoll, said: "It's devastating when your house is damaged in this way, but we are obviously very pleased that the householder did not suffer an injury.
"She did exactly the right thing by getting out of the house and staying out."
He added: "The crews have done extremely well to prevent the total loss of the roof and first floor and they have managed to salvage a good deal of property from inside the house."
