In January, Becky Greenaway-Ewers, Funeral Arranger and Community Champion at Heritage & Sons, Aylesbury, part of the CPJ Field family, volunteered at meal sessions held in the Church Hall of St Joseph’s Church in Aylesbury.

Becky and her son, Andrew Bowers, who is a chef, cooked a variety of food using ingredients donated by CPJ Field, including chilli, tuna pasta bake and apple pie with custard.

They prepared the two course dinners before serving them and interacting with attendees at the evening sessions.

Becky and Andrew will continue to support the cause by volunteering at meal sessions on Wednesday evenings throughout February and March.

Becky Greenaway-Ewers from Heritage & Sons comments: “During the cold winter months, a hot meal and someone to talk to can make such a difference to those who find themselves in hard times.

"Andrew was happy to put his culinary skills to good use and everyone is enjoying the variety of meals each week.

"We will continue to support the local scheme in the coming weeks and look forward to further helping members of our local community.”
