A cat owner is desperately searching for her beloved pet after he escaped from his carrier in a vet’s car park.

Penny Horwood, of Cleveland Park, Aylesbury put the carrier holding Monty on the ground while she opened the car door, but the carrier’s door came loose and the 11-month old tabby cat ran off into bushes on Friday, April 10.

He is part of our family and we are missing him so much.

Penny Horwood, Monty’s owner

Mrs Horwood, who is mum to Lilliana, 10, and seven-year-old Jack, had just collected the puss from Companion Care Vets, inside Pets At Home on Vale Park Drive in Aylesbury when he ran off.

She tried in vain to search for the cat, which she says is her children’s best friend – especially to Jack, who has Down’s Syndrome and autism.

The mother-of-two said: “He is part of our family and we are missing him so much. He is such a laid back cat and we have worked really hard over the past six months to teach him and Jack to bond.”

Monty is described as ‘slim and slight’, timid and wearing a red collar.

It has been reported that he was spotted on Sunday, April 12 near Evett Close off Stocklake, Aylesbury but has not been seen since.

If you see Monty, please call Mrs Horwood on 07753 420700.
