Great Train Robber to appeal against parole refusal

Ronnie Biggs, one of the Great Train Robbers, is set to appeal Jack Straw's refusal to grant him parole.

Speculation had mounted that Biggs would be freed imminently after the Parole Board had recommended that the 79-year-old should be released from prison.

Jack Straw refused parole saying Biggs is wholly unrepentant over his actions.
