The Quainton attraction is offering a series of Santa’s Magical Adventures on November 30 and December 6-7, 13-14, and 20-22.

And for the first three dates, Santa’s Train will be hauled by Thomas the Tank Engine.

Bookings are now open and parents are strongly advised to reserve places now as tickets, which cost £14, sell out fast.

The special treats see Father Christmas bring a gift (age and gender suitable) for every child during their steam train ride, followed by complimentary seasonal refreshments for adults, with a juice drink and chocolate biscuit for children.

Then great free face painting, followed by entertainment at the 20 minute live balloon show.

Trains run regularly throughout the day from 10.25 am until 3.20 pm.

The Railway Centre’s Sheila Lobley said: “We offer a very good value for money day out.

“They get a steam train ride and everybody loves Thomas the Tank Engine in particular.

“All the presents are gender specific are gender and age specific which is why we want people to pre-book. They’re all really nice presents and nicely wrapped. The whole visitor centre is beautifully decorated as well.”

Note that for the days when Thomas pulls the trains (November 30, December 6-7) bookings can only be made on-line through www.bucksrailcentre.org.

The remaining weekends can be booked either online the same way, or by telephoning the railway centre on 01296 655720 on weekdays, 9.30 am-4.30 pm.
