The month-long festival is highly regarded on the UK comedy circuit, meaning it attracts big names year after year.

The passport costs £125 and buys unlimited access to every single gig in Tring, plus the one night performance at the Limelight Theatre in Aylesbury.

It can be transferred among family and friends so if you can’t make every single show, some one else you know can.

A Tweet from the Get Stuffed Twitter account says that 25% of the passports have already been sold, so you better get your skates on.

The line up is still being finalised but this year there are several acts which, according to organiser Ben Moorhouse, have been on the wish list for some time.

More than 43 acts will perform at the Pendley Court Theatre in Tring, but the following are expected to be highlights:

> Paul Foot is taking to the stage on June 29 with his ‘musings, rants, ‘disturbances’ and apparent aversion to pop culture’ and he’s followed a day later by Boy With Tape On His Face, also known as Sam Wills.

> The New Zealand native has been coveted by the Tringe team for a while and they have revealed it took ‘several years of emails and calls to get him to Tring’.

> James Acaster, who some may recognise from his appearances on panel shows Mock The Week and 8 Out Of 10 Cats late last year, will perform on July 3.

> Southend Utd goalkeeper turned funnyman Terry Alderton will crack up audiences on July 9 and outspoken socialist Mark Steel will bring his political satire to the small Herts market town on July 20.

> Actress and writer Sara Pascoe, who will perform on July 22, has been doing comedy since 2007 and toured the UK for the first time last year with her show, Sara Pascoe Vs History.

> Quirkily-named trio Festival of the Spoken Nerd are Helen Arney, Matt Parker and Steve Mould, who according to their website pride themselves on ‘full frontal nerdity’ with a show packed with scientific info intertwined with funny gags.
