Floating restaurant to make waves in Aylesbury
A floating restaurant could be opened in Aylesbury's canal basin in the town centre.
Aylesbury Vale District Council corporate director, Nigel Brooke, said British Waterways were keen to have a narrow boat eatery at Waterside.
Exchange Street is set to become a food hub with a restaurant also planned for a pavilion near the theatre, while a ground floor within the National Enterprise Academy headquarters will be open to the public.
Dragons Den star Peter Jones, who is spearheading the academy, visited the area last week to talk to council bosses.
Deputy leader of AVDC, Cllr Michael Edmonds, said: "(Mr Jones) said 'I am very excited' and when a chap like that speaks, the whole world and his wife takes notice."
However, Cllr Jackie Phipps is not impressed by the design of the multi-storey car park.
"It looks like it's boarded up. I think it's horrible," she said.
