Solicitors and estate agents turned bakers across the Vale last week for this year’s ‘ASBO bake-off’.

The event, in aid of Florence Nightingale Hospice saw staff from a number of firms across the town compete for the crown of best baker.

Lemon drizzle, chocolate fudge, Victoria sponge and Bakewell tarts were among the culinary delights on offer at the event held at the Waterside Theatre in Aylesbury.

Greg Falcon of Horwood & James Solicitors came up with the winning dish – a blueberry and pecan nut cake.

The event is so-named because it was originally competed for by local solicitors’ firms, but it now sees estate agents join the fun too, and this year’s event saw them raise more than £200.

FNHC’s community fundraising manager Emma Carroll, said: “It was great fun and a good excuse to eat cake.”
