World's top young literature buffs come to Aylesbury
THE World's finest young literary minds came together at Aylesbury High School this week as part of the international Kids Lit Quiz.
Four AHS girls formed the UK team after winning through several rounds of literary quizzes to represent their country.
The international final took place in Oxford on Monday. And the team of Anna Dwyer, Amna Sheikh (Year 7), Natasha Bailey and Florence Carr (Year 8) did themselves, their school and their country proud, beating China in a play-off to finish third overall.
To round off the huge event, AHS invited the teams from New Zealand, South Africa and China to Aylesbury for a tour and to visit the Roald Dahl museum in Great Missenden.
BHTV caught up with some of the young team members as well as the Kid Lit Quiz creator Wayne Mills.
