Cheeky Girls' visit to Aylesbury on BHTV

BHTV was there when the Cheeky Girls rolled into town recently and you can see the footage using our brand new bigger and better widescreen video player, launched today.

They've been pop stars, models and one even dated an MP, but on Sunday came a career highlight for the Cheeky Girls as the Transylvanian twins rolled into Aylesbury to launch a new beauty product range.

Unfortunately things did not go as smoothly as organisers would have liked as a small hardcore of fans were forced to brave the wet and windy weather for more than an hour while the duo were delayed en route to QD in the town centre.

The glamour girls Gabriela and Monica Irimia were meant to be at the QD store on the High Street from around 12.45pm as part of their promotional tour for their new beauty collection, which is aimed at teenage girls. But traffic, and then their driver apparently taking them to the wrong town, meant around 40 fans had to wait a while before the girls eventually arrived.

They were escorted under umbrellas to the store where they posed for photographs before giving a Cheeky makeover to two competition winners.

To the Cheeky Girls' credit, once they had arrived in store they charmed their fans and genuinely interacted with the crowd signing products, giving away prizes and posing for more

photos, much to the delight of those gathered.

The pair even made time for a special one-off makeover for one young girl who was particularly upset at having missed out the first time around.

The launch of the collection is designed to tie in with the Cheeky Girls' work to raise awareness about eating disorders, which often affect teenage girls.

Both the 26-year-old twins have suffered from anorexia in the past.

Speaking to The Bucks Advertiser, Gabriela said: "We had such fun in Aylesbury this weekend and are so over the moon that everyone cheered for us so much.

"The girls of Aylesbury all loved the beauty range and the perfume and we are looking forward to coming back soon with more of our fun, cheeky products.

"Thank you for making our time in Aylesbury so fun and fabulous, we loved every second of it."

The girls' visit can now be viewed in new our bigger and better video player service bringing you high quality video in widescreen format with lost of new options.
