Fundraising clearly runs in the family for a father and daughter who skydived from 13,000 ft in aid of charity.

Ian Watson, 60, and daughter Laura, 25, took off from Hinton Airfield on Saturday morning and spent ten minutes climbing to the dizzying height before taking a leap of faith from the aeroplane.

Ian is managing director at Sivatech Business Solutions in Gatehouse Close, Aylesbury, where Laura works as an executive assistant.

The pair free fell for 45 seconds before the parachute opened and they drifted back to earth in four minutes.

The firm’s chosen charity is the Aylesbury-based PACE Centre which supports children with physical disabilities.

Laura, who lives with her family in Garland Way, Aston Clinton, said: “We had a fantastic time and loved every minute. It was made more special by sharing the jump with my Dad.

So far, the Watsons have raised just under £2,000 and their fundraising page will be open until October 26. To donate, visit www.justgiving.com/sivatech-laura.
