Aylesbury High School students came up trumps as all 183 students achieved more than five A* to C grades on GCSE results today (Thursday).

69% of girls were awarded A* or A grades.

Headmaster Alan Rosen highlighted Lydia Bockmuehl, Lucia Doran, Mathilda Weston and Soonyiu Yau for particular praise as they all gained 11 A* grades.

He said: “With all the national speculation about how results would turn out this year we are delighted that our students have done so well - I think many of them opening their envelopes this morning have done even better than they had expected.”
