Outgoing Aylesbury Grammar School headmaster Stephen Lehec said he was “exceptionally delighted and proud of the results” after all students gained 5 A* to C grades.

78% of students achieved at least 5 A* to A grades, an 8% increase on last year’s results.

Mr Lehec added he was particularly delighted with some individual successes such as Huw Dalkin and Luke Vice Coles who achieved 11 straight A* grades, whilst Ciaran Walsh went one better with 12 straight A* grades.

Ciaran said: “I was hoping for these results, so I’m really pleased.

“Mum will be cooking a big dinner today so we’ll have a family celebration.”

He has chosen his A-levels and hopes to go on to study English at university.
