DEFENDANT TO UNDERGO PSYCHIATRIC TESTS
(TUESDAY DECEMBER 12) A MAN accused of murdering his wife and stepson will undergo psychiatric tests to see if he is mentally fit to stand trial, a court heard today (Tuesday).
Janos Rozsavolgyi is accused of killing his wife Patricia Rozsavolgyi, aged 64 years and 40-year-old Anthony Parsons.
The bald 52 year-old appeared at Reading Crown Court today (Tuesday) charged with two counts of murder.
His defence lawyer Philip Rule said his client could not enter a plea to either charge as he was still undergoing psychiatric tests to see whether he is mentally stable enough to stand trial.
Rozsavolgyi, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody to appear at the same court again on January 26 next year.
Judge Zoe Smith said any trial was scheduled to take place from March 19 next year.
Rozsavolgyi, who appeared in court wearing blue v-necked jumper and grey trousers, was flanked by two security guards as he was led from the dock back to HMP Bullingdon.
