A woman cyclist racially abused a family near to the Friarscroft car park, police have said.

At approximately 6.25pm on Monday (28/9), a man was walking along Friarscroft Way near to Friarscroft car park with his wife and child.

A woman came around the corner riding a bike on the pavement towards the family at speed.

She nearly collided with the female victim and swore at her. She then rode off in the opposite direction.

The male victim shouted at her and the offender came back and swore at him and a verbal altercation ensued during which time the offender racially abused the victims.

The offender is white, aged in her late 20s, of medium build, with long straight blonde hair which was in a ponytail.

She is about 5ft 8ins tall and was wearing dark combat trousers, a dark short-sleeved t-shirt and a yellow hi-vis vest.

Police would like to speak to anyone who has any information about this offence or who can help to identify the offender.
