A charity bike ride with a difference proved a great success on Saturday.

The Memory Lane crew, led by bike enthusiast Tony Coombs from Southcourt, cycled around Aylesbury in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The team of around twenty children and adults completed the ride on vintage bikes from the 1960s and 70s.

Mr Coombs’ children Michael, nine, and Charlotte, seven, were among those taking part in the ride which was followed by a parade around the town.

Overall sponsors of the event were the Tesco stores in Tring Road and Broadfields.

Mr Coombs added: “I would also like to thank Michael Anthony estate agents, Diana Fawcett and Amy Moon from the Aylesbury Town Centre Partnership, Halfords, Buckingham Bikes and everyone from Cancer Research UK who helped us prepare for this challenge.”
