A rugby club’s new £20,000 ground maintenance tractor which it purchased just two months ago has been stolen by thieves.

The orange Kubota tractor was taken on Sunday night sometime after 7pm from Aylesbury Rugby Club’s ground in Brook End, Weston Turville.

Club chairman Clive Woodfall said: “The tractor was a help in terms of improving the ground and we had noticed a difference since we bought it.

“You can’t print what I really think about these people, it is annoying because the thieves are taking something away from the whole club not just one individual.”

“We managed to pick up a couple of people walking near to the ground on CCTV but the images aren’t of very good quality.”

Police are now investigating the incident and ask anyone with information to call them on the non-emergency 101 number.
