A teenage girl was sexually assaulted in a park next to Creslow Way in Stone on Monday afternoon, police have reported.
A spokesman for Thames Valley Police said the victim was with friends in the park in Stone between about 5pm and 7pm.
“She left her friends and began to walk a short distance when she was approached by a man,” he said.
“The offender then grabbed the victim around the throat and sexually assaulted her over her clothing before walking off towards the A316 Oxford Road.
“He is described as white, in his late teens, tall and slim and was wearing a black hooded top, black jeans and white trainers. The man is believed to have had a local accent,” he added.
Investigating officer Det Insp David Dachtler of the Child Abuse Investigation Unit based at Aylesbury police station said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who saw or heard anything unusual in the vicinity of Stone Park yesterday to contact police immediately, especially if you saw a white, tall and slim man in his late teens acting suspiciously, following people or otherwise loitering in the area between the times stated.
“We are conducting patrols in the area, carrying out house to house to house enquiries and are actively seeking witnesses, so if you have any concerns please speak to one of our officers.
“If you have any information whatsoever about the incident, no matter how insignificant you think it might be, please call the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
