A sports car has been stolen in broad daylight after criminals broke into a home and took the keys.

Police are appealing for witnesses after the incident in Fairmile, Aylesbury, which occurred at 3.10pm on Sunday afternoon.

Thieves gained entry to the house by smashing a rear glass door and then removed the keys to a silver Audi S3 Quattro before stealing it from the driveway.

The car, registration number V192 ECF, has not yet been found.

Around the same time, the thieves tried to gain entry to the house next door by smashing a small glass panel in the rear door.

The offender is a white man, in his late twenties/early thirties, approximately 5ft 4ins with an athletic build.

He was wearing a dark coloured hooded top with the hood up and was seen outside the property before driving off in the stolen vehicle.

The police are also looking for another man who was seen in the area at the time.

He is white, in his late twenties, 5ft 10ins, medium build, with stubble on his face, dark collar length hair and a tattoo on his right hand between his thumb and forefinger, possibly of lettering.

He was wearing dark coloured shiny trousers and a dark jacket zipped up at the front.

This man got into a taxi in the car park of Aylesbury probation service in Walton Road and was driven to Fairmile where he then got into the driver’s seat of a black Astra, registration NL08 YNP, before driving off.

The Astra was later found abandoned in Queens Park at about 5.15pm.
