The helicopter landed in Griffin Lane today

A man has been flown to hospital with serious leg injuries after an accident involving a forklift truck at a scrapyard.

Police and the air ambulance were called to ASM Metal Recycling Ltd in Griffin Lane following the incident around 12.30pm today.

The man in his forties was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The road was blocked off to allow the air ambulance to land in the middle of the road however it has since been re-opened.
