A man has pleaded guilty to stealing equipment from an electronics retail and repair shop in Aylesbury.

Shane Grooby, 39, from Griffin Lane admitted one count of burglary of a non-dwelling.

Grooby stole a variety of electrical equipment from Techspan Systems/CA Traffic on Tuesday April 28.

He was identified from CCTV and most of the property has been successfully recovered and returned to the company.

Grooby pleaded guilty to the offence at High Wycombe Magistrates’ Court and will be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court.

Investigating officer Tina Scott said: “The good quality CCTV enabled police to quickly identify Grooby and make a prompt arrest.

“It shows again the importance of businesses having this equipment installed.”
