Thieves have been deterred from breaking into a house by a neighbour who shouted at them.

Three men attempted to break-in to a home in Limes Avenue, Bedgrove at around 7pm on Friday June 6.

They immediately fled and drove off in a gold Mercedes, in the direction of Camborne Avenue.

The first offender is white and was wearing a blue top and hoody.

The second was wearing a blue top, blue jeans and baseball cap with a dark blue bandana pulled over his mouth.

The third offender is white, stocky with brown hair and was wearing blue jeans and a brown blazer.

Police say they would like to speak to anyone with any information about the incident and also to a man who was driving a blue car and stopped to talk to witnesses about the Mercedes.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police enquiry centre on 101.
