Burglar jumps out of window after being disturbed in Aylesbury home

A burglar jumped out of a window after being disturbed inside a home in Aylesbury.

Between 9.30am and 10.30am on Friday July 15 a burglar gained entry to a house in Sutherland Walk, Elm Farm.

He was disturbed and jumped out of the window where he landed on a flat roof before running across Elm Farm Road towards Hazlehurst Drive.

Items of jewellery were stolen by the offender who is described as a white man around 46-years-old, 5ft 6ins tall, of a slim build with brown hair around the sides and white grey on top.

He was wearing a navy blue polo shirt tucked into light grey combat shorts.

Investigating officer Det Con Gemma Howe said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident.

“If you have any information or recognise the description of the offender please call the Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
